Images from the natural world have always been the inspiration for my art. I paint and draw in several different medium often integrating many into one image. Although I’ve never been locked into a specific style there is recurring imagery of repeating patterns in my work.

Stone Tile and Glass Mosaic Artist Extraordinaire.
I’ve been undertaking an ongoing project of Series pieces from many different “eras” of my art. I feel inspired to re-work the same image in new ways; highlighting different details of the piece layering in new colors. Although I usually have a vision as to how I want the piece to evolve I am often surprised as to how some of my stories end up. I hope that my art reflects the evolution and flow in nature and that I might compel the viewer to look at the world in one more way.

I create one of a kind Polymer Clay jewelry pieces. I start by mixing my own color palette in clay then build patterned cane from the colored clay. I then take thin slices of the cane and apply them to sheets of solid color clay to create patterned sheets of clay. Finally I assemble the patterned sheets into compositions which become my finished piece of jewelry. I participated in last years Art Row experience and look forward to joining the event again.

  Maynard Breese Website

Maynard Breese is an award winning digital artist, living in Chandler, Arizona. His works are created by manipulating his photography, and using a digital paint kit to add layers of detail, creating works that look just like oil or impasto
paintings. The pieces are then printed onto canvas by the artist using archival materials.

"If I were to describe by style, I would call it Realistic surrealism," says Maynard. "It's the world as I see it if I were allowed to just 'tweak' it a bit. My goal is to create an emotional response as soon as you see a piece, and I love to make my colours pop off the wall at you."

Gloria Johnson

David Showley

Gloria Johnson Coming from an illustration background, my representational style is richly detailed and finely executed. The subjects I choose dictate the medium; be they animal, vegetable, mineral or some combination. My work ranges from colored pencil portraits to   David Showley The practice of using natureʼs own materials, with their colors and textures preserved, dates back to prehistoric times, when early man recorded significant events such as a successful hunt, a conquest or a meteorological phenomenon by using sand and design.
watercolor plant studies to pastel landscapes and beyond. I have recently added boldly colored, expressive acrylics to the mix of artwork coming from my North County studio.
Third generation California artist David Showley uses the same materials to demonstrate the various colors and textures of sands whose origins may be thousands of miles apart. As an environmental collage, their beauty emerges even more clearly and more harmoniously.

The sand, shells and organic mater displayed on each of the “sandpaintings” is from the beach as indicated. A special acrylic is mixed with the sand to adhere it to the surface.
